A letter from the Boosters President:

Greetings to all the parents of children in the OV Music program. Happy "back to school" and welcome back to the joy of playing music together! The Booster Club supports all of the music at Olympic View Middle School: Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Drill team. We exist so that all children who want to participate in music performance, concerts, competitions and parades can do so.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Kids want to have fun and perform well, They can't do it without (some) adult supervision. Please consider volunteering, there are many things you can do:

• Chaperone
• Food and Water (for trips)
• Equipment (load instruments)
• Uniforms
• Webmaster (manage OV Music Booster website)

Contact Dan Thomsen by email or 425-238-6555 to volunteer or ask questions. If you would like to volunteer, please complete (or renew if you have volunteered before ) the Washington State Patrol criminal background check/clearance forms. They are available in the OV office, or you can read the volunteer policies here

The forms can be faxed, scanned, or dropped off at the OV main office, however it is a district policy that photo ID must be presented in person at the office. The fax number is 425-366-5202.

Booster News

As stated above, we have a need for several positions and chaperones. The Secretary and Vice President positions are currently empty and need to be filled.

We are also currently seeking shadow board positions for the 2012-2013 Booster Board. These positions need to be filled for training this year to make for a smooth transition.
